A series of presentations by local historians held at the Historical Museum of Bay County on the second Saturday of each month.  Past topics have ranged from railroads to shipwrecks, coal mining to baseball... first person interpretations to virtual tours. 


Programs begin at 1pm
and are FREE to the public.

  In January 2016 Putz Hardware celebrated its centennial milestone, surviving the Great Depression, a 1964 fire and decades of competition from larger chain competitors, and continuing today as one of Bay City’s longest-running family-owned businesses.

   Join the granddaughter of its founder Lois Neimann as she shares the story of this unique store honored by the City of Bay City on January 20, 2016 as “Putz Hardware Day.
