Bay County
Historical Society is currently looking for individuals who are interested in Bay County history and want to serve on the
Board of Directors. Applicants need to be 18 years old or older. This is a two-year commitment.
Responsibilities:
Know the organization’s
mission, policies, programs, and needs as well as understand its collective purpose
Serve as active advocates and
ambassadors for the organization
Leverage connections, networks, and resources to develop collective action to achieve
the organization’s mission
Help identify personal connections that can benefit the organization’s fundraising
and reputational standing, and influence public policy
Prepare for, attend, and conscientiously participate in monthly
board meetings
Participate fully in one or more committees or taskforces

GARDENING & BUILDING MAINTANCE
Bay County Historical Society is currently looking for individuals who are interested in maintaining the front
garden and/ or help with cleaning the building.
Responsibilities:
Weed and care for the front garden
Pick
up garbage around the parking lot and lawn
Vacuum and mop the museum
Clean gallery cases
STORE/ FRONT DESK ATTENDANT
Bay County Historical Society is currently looking for individuals who are interested in working in the museum
store and front desk.
Responsibilities:
Greet visitors
and collect admission fees
Operate a cash register
Provide high quality customer service to visitors
Dust and clean gift shop
Help administration with
mailings
